Crochet Mug Cozy Pattern

Begin with a Slip Knot

Foundation Chain - Chain 10 +2

Double Crochet on the 2nd chain from the hook
Double crochet in each stitch - total of 9 double crochet + the chain 3 in the beginning

Next Row (2nd row)
chain two, turn your work around and double crochet in the next stitch (working in the back look only) and the following until end of row

Note:  Working in the back loop gives you the ridge effect for this pattern.

repeat 2nd row until you have 14 rows in total

Next Step:

chain 3 and connect to the opposite corner with a slip stitch

Do a single crochet on the opposite side until you get to the end

The Loop:
Chain 13 and slip stitch on the 3rd chain from the beginning of the 13 chain.
single crochet in the next two stitch.
Pattern is complete.
weave in ends with Blount needle and add the button.

and your mug crochet is completed.
